I started directing in the womb. My first film "It's Dark In Here" was unreleased when the negative suffered damaged from the amniotic fluid. Distraught after all the hard work went to waste I took a long break from film, only to come back to my first love when I was 12 and I purchased my first Nikon camera. Spending hours shooting stills at the NY KNICK games, I learned from the pros and fell in love with photography and capturing the action of the games. At NYU years later I picked up a film camera and fell in love with moving images, shooting black and white 16mm films for Sight and Sound class. One of my favorites was shot at Belmont racetrack and captured the drama of a routine horse race and all the characters at the track. It was set it to the theme music from Shaft. At the same time, I began watching the Godard and Truffaut movies, and Roman Polanski’s early movies (The Tenant, and Repulsion) and my interest level peaked. My love of music and film came together with music videos after graduating. I started shooting for other directors and eventually got a break for Tommy Boy records, to direct Naughty By Nature's "O.P.P." I went on to direct some of my favorite artists including RUN DMC when they made "Down With The King," Ice Cube, Mary J Blige, Sting, and so many more. Recently I have been focusing on stand-up comedy, and have had the chance to work with the best of the best: Jerry Seinfeld, Judd Apatow, Patton Oswalt, Amy Schumer, Kevin Hart, and some amazing young comics like Ray Grady, and Tiffany Haddish. Upcoming projects include laundry, picking up my son from school, and finishing Judd Apatow's Netflix special due out in Dec.
